A New Thing - New Wave Dances
New Wave Dances are designed for novice and experienced dancers who are not confident or comfortable dancing Plus. The New Wave calls are taken from 65 calls of Callerlab's Basic-Mainstream program. We encourage all dancers to join us for New Wave Dances to support New Wave Dancers and welcome them to square dancing.
We call them New Wave Dances because we hope this will be the new wave of square dancing. Dancers can reach this level with only one semester of classes, so more dancers will be able to enjoy our dances and join our club. As more clubs adopt this program, there will be more opportunities for New Wave dancers to travel to other clubs' dances. As these dancers become more confident, they will have the opportunity to move on to higher levels.
